Would you pass GCSE maths? Take the quiz
Thousands of teenagers across the country are due to sit their GCSE maths exams this week - but how well do you know your quadratic to your simultaneous equations?

This year's dreaded GCSE exams are underway – as you'll know full well if you happen to be, or share a house with, a Year 10 or 11 student.
Thousands of pupils across the country are due to sit one of the most divisive subjects of all this week - Maths.
Last year, Maths was the only subject in which boys outperformed girls - by 0.7 percentage points at A*-A and 0.5 per cent at A*-C.
GCSE candidates face even more pressure this year, as they become the first group to sit the exams under a new numerical grading system.
The new 9-1 system replaces the traditional A*-U grades in some subjects, and children are taught to aim for a 4 or higher instead of the previous pass mark of a C.
But how many questions do you think you’d pass if you were sitting your Maths GCSE exams now?
Take the quiz below to see if you are as clever as a 15 or 16-year old.
