Students think overseas universities give them better chance of higher paid job, survey suggests

Fewer than one in eight students believe studying at UK universities sets them up for financial success, a survey has suggested.
The poll on the respective merits of higher education at home and overseas also indicated 70 per cent of students believe tuition fees are too high in Britain.
Independent research carried out on behalf of Caxton Premier account management showed that while only 14 per cent believed studying at university in the UK set them up for financial success, almost half (44%) said they were more likely to get a higher paid job if they opted to study abroad.
As a result, the majority of UK students (57 per cent) said they were likely to take a year out or live abroad in the future.
According to the survey of 750 British students, the United States is the most popular preferred option for overseas study (22 per cent), followed by Spain (10 per cent) then Germany (8 per cent).
