COMMUTERS AND tourists in London face a summer of disruption on the Underground while the Circle Line is shut for two months.
London Underground yesterday announced its decision to close the entire Circle Line until 16 August after scheduled engineering work last week caused worse chaos than expected. Managers admitted that an emergency timetable they had spent months planning had failed to cope with the closure of a stretch of line between Gloucester Road and High Street Kensington.
Despite the closure, all Circle Line stations will remain open and they will be served as normal by other lines.
