The actress Zoe Wanamaker (above) with a special issue stamp of the new Globe Theatre in south London, whose reconstruction was the brain- child of her father Sam, the American actor and director, who died before seeing his dream fulfilled. Royal Mail is to issue a set of stamps to mark the opening of the new open air theatre - which is built of wood with a thatched roof on the south bank of the Thames on the site of the original. The stamps also coincide with the start of the workshop season at the Globe.
