The Bishop of Edinburgh warned yesterday of the danger of "lazy journalism" which sometimes created stories in order to report them.
The Most Rev Richard Holloway, primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church, told clergy: "One of the dangers that confronts the media is its insatiability. It is endlessly trawling for stories and sometimes it creates stories to report them. This, it seems to me, is lazy journalism and it should be condemned."
