The self-styled bad boy of pop, Mark Morrison, was found guilty yesterday of sending an impostor to carry out laundry work and other community service chores imposed by a court for violence. The Return of the Mack singer was trapped after journalists, working with a private detective, photographed the imposter outside the day centre where he had carried out the work.
Marylebone Court, London, heard how Mark Thomas, former chief reporter for the News of the World and now a features editor on the Mirror, had been tipped off that Morrison had a "stand-in" doing the work. The man claiming to be the singer had performed about 80 hours of the work when Mr Thomas received the tip-off.
