JK Rowling responds to Twitter critic with rap song-derived pun
And Chamillionaire was impressed

As an acclaimed writer, it’s expected that JK Rowling would be able to produce a good play on words. It is perhaps more unexpected that her play on words would involve some well-known rap lyrics.
Author Kevin Williamson told the MP for Glasgow East, Natalie McGarry, not to apologise to Rowling. McGarry shared two tweets on Wednesday apologising for a screenshot she used to accuse Rowling of defending “abusive misogynist trolls” in January. McGarry has also previously apologised to Rowling on 28 January.
Williamson questioned the apology she made yesterday by claiming she uses her “obscene wealth and lawyer droids to threaten and bully”. The Harry Potter author responded to him with a reference to the 2005 song Ridin’ by Chamillionaire.
At present, Rowling's pun has been re-tweeted over 18,000 times and liked over 34,000 times, including by the rapper himself.
Rowling is never one to shy away on social media and has previously shut down Westboro Baptist Church, insinuated Donald Trump was worse than Lord Voldemort and decried a body shaming comment about Wimbledon champion Serena Williams.
