Martin Lynes: Former Home and Away actor charged with rape and assault
The actor has been charged with nine offences

A former Home and Away actor has been charged with the rape and assault of a woman.
Martin Lynes, 48, is best known for playing Adam Sharpe in the Australian soap and Dr Luke Forlano in the hospital drama All Saints.
He has been charged with nine offences including sexual intercourse without consent, assault with an act of indecency, four counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and three counts of common assault, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.
The attack on a 51-year-old woman allegedly took place at the actor’s house in New South Wales on 29 February. The woman was reportedly taken to hospital after the attack and discharged the next day.
Lynes was arrested in the early hours of 1 March and an Apprehended Violence Order has been put in place against him. Under the terms of the AVO Lynes must not approach the woman.
He has strenuously denied the allegations to the Australian Daily Telegraph.
Lynes, who now works in real estate, was granted conditional bail after appearing in Local Court. He will face court again at the end of April.
