Fifa president is facing calls for his resignation amid allegations of Fifa corruption

Controversial Fifa president Sepp Blatter is a “Swiss tosser” - at least according to his Wikipedia page.

The unapproved edit was made at some point early this morning and comes amid increasingly vocal disapproval of the Fifa president’s handling of the unfolding corruption scandal.

Earlier this week a US fraud inquiry arrested seven top officials in Zurich. Attorney General Loretta Lynch alleged that the corruption was “rampant, systemic, and deep-rooted” and spanning “two generations” of football officials.

Blatter – currently running for his fifth term as president – has made clear he will not resign.

Celebrities and sporting stars, including Gary Lineker, Stan Collymore, Rafa Nadal, Luis Figo, Diego Maradona, comedian John Bishop, presenter Jon Snow and columnist Piers Morgan, have all spoken against Blatter’s presidency.
