What Macaulay Culkin has been doing since he ‘retired’ from acting
'I’m a big fan of jumping on people’s tourbuses , making myself useful, doing load-ins and outs'

After taking a step back from acting, Macaulay Culkin says he is now spending his free time as a roadie.
The former child star, 35, appeared to confirm his exit from Hollywood earlier this year when he announced he had “essentially retired”.
In an interview with the New York Times, the Home Alone actor described how he was forced to take walks at two and four in the morning just to avoid paparazzi and splits his time between New York and Paris, where he faces less intrusion.
He has recently filmed an advert for Compare the Market but is otherwise “actively” avoiding the spotlight. Instead, his work is now behind the scenes as a roadie for Adam Green, of the Moldy Peaches, and Har Mar Superstar.
Culkin told the Guardian: “Home is where my boots are. I’m a big fan of jumping on people’s tour buses, making myself useful, doing load-ins and outs. I do everything except the merch table. I tried that, but ... we didn’t sell anything.”
Culkin has also performed in his band the Pizza Underground, a bizarre, food-themed Velvet Underground tribute act, and appeared in a surreal adaption of Aladdin earlier this year directed by Green.
