THE Confederation of British Industry revealed fresh evidence yesterday that recovery is accelerating.

The CBI's quarterly Industrial Trends survey showed that manufacturers expect output to grow faster in the next four months than at any time since early 1989. But it warned that tax increases might threaten the pace of recovery.
