The satirical magazine Scallywag has served a writ on the Tory party's deputy director for research, Dr Julian Lewis. The magazine says it has been forced to suspend publication after Dr Lewis, furious at articles detailing alleged planned "dirty tricks" by his department against Tony Blair, warned distributors and wholesalers that they could be liable for libel damages.
