Four British soldiers and a translator have been freed by Bosnian Serb authorities after six days in a Bosnian jail, accused of spying in Serb-held territory. ``They are in good health and have in no way been mistreated,'' said Major David Falcke, a UN spokesman. ``We are extremely pleased to have them back with us.''

The five: Fl-Lt Michael Smeath; Royal Marines Francis Dunn, Daniel Mallik and Wayne Wilden; and a Croatian interpreter, Silvija Skunca, were handed over to their commanding officer on the front line south of Kupres yesterday. UN officials described the Serb accusations against the group as ``ludicrous''.
