A 14-year-old boy was sent to a secure unit for young people when he made his 32nd court appearance in nine months.
The teenager, from Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, who was dubbed 'the boy they can't lock up', allegedly crashed a car while on the run from an assessment centre. The town's magistrates decided to remand him at the unit for 28 days.
After the case his father said: 'Boys like him need to be in a special school that will put them straight. He has been handled all wrong since being put in care. After the hearing I went up and thanked the magistrate. I told her she had taken a lot of worries off my mind.'
The boy is due in court again tomorrow in connection with various offences.
