Eighty-year-old diaries of the Irish patriot Sir Roger Casement, containing explicit homosexual passages long believed to be forged by British intelligence to discredit him, are to opened for public inspection next week. But while the Home Office has decided there is no reason to the diaries, it is keeping secret further files about his trial and execution for treason in 1916.
