The former Master of the Cottesmore Hunt was cleared of assault after a four-day trial at Lincoln Crown Court. Brian Fanshawe was alleged to have made his horse deliberately trample a member of the Peterborough Hunt Saboteurs in March last year, on the day that he was to retire.
