Berrymans, a City firm of insurance litigation solicitors, has set up an exchange programme for its trainee solicitors with pupils at the chambers of Robert Seabrook QC, the chairman of the Bar. According to the firm's senior partner, Paul Taylor, a survey carried out by his firm suggested that barristers are unclear about how insurance claims cases are run. 'Similarly, our trainees can benefit from knowing what helps a barrister in preparing for a trial,' he says. 'We are sure that this will lead to further efficiencies that will help keep client costs down.'
