A magistrate accused of trying to murder his wife with a home-made gas chamber told Winchester Crown Court that she had 'set him up'. Cranog Jones, 44, of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, admitted that on the day before the alleged murder attempt he gassed the family cat by accident when working on his car, but denied he was experimenting with it. The trial continues today.
