The American journalist, Seymour M Hersh, and the publishers of his book The Samson Option accepted 'substantial' libel damages in the High Court from Mirror Group Newspapers over suggestions the book made false allegations about the late press tycoon Robert Maxwell and a former senior journalist, Nicholas Davies.
