Avon and Somerset Police was presented with a petition signed by 16,000 people supporting Constable Steve Guscott, fined pounds 100 by magistrates and ordered to pay pounds 50 compensation to a teenager he slapped. PC Guscott, 42, of Minehead, will appear before a disciplinary hearing on Friday.
