Bars give women a secret code to use if they feel unsafe on a date
The college has introduced the code to more than a dozen bars in the area

Bars located near Florida Atlantic University are providing customers with a secret way to tell bartenders if they feel unsafe while on a date.
Posters hanging in multiple bars in the area detail the process that involves going up to staff and ordering a drink called 'The Owl Shot'.
"Are you on a date that isn't going well? Are you feeling unsafe, or even just a bit weird? For help just go to the bar and order an owl shot." reads the poster.
Customers will then have three options of drink to choose from that indicates to the bar staff what they need to do.
If they order their Owl Shot 'neat', then they will be escorted to their car.
If they ask for it 'on the rocks' then the staff will call a car for them.
If they order it "with lime" then the police will be called.
Alejandra Rodriguez, the Governmental Relations Director at the university said the students came up with the idea over the summer and told CNN. "Everyone's on board. Bars owners love it, the administration thinks it's a great idea. There's been really no negative response to it at all,"
The university's student body vice president Celine Persaud echoed these claims and told University Press how successful the programme has been.
"We have had reports that a couple of students have actually used this and we have had very positive feedback on this," she said.
The posters are displayed in both men and women's bathrooms.
