An Arab suspect allegedly confessed he planned a suicide bomb attack in Kuwait against George Bush, AP reports from Kuwait. Sheikh Ali Sabah al-Salem, the Defence Minister, who is a member of the ruling family, said the would-be attacker was one of 14 people detained in connection with an Iraqi plot against Kuwait. They drove from Iraq into Kuwait with carloads of explosives, the minister said. After they were arrested, one confessed he planned to strap explosives around his waist and blow himself up, with Mr Bush, who was visiting Kuwait.
