A judge has granted freedom to the two men convicted of the killing in 1978 of Pedro Joaquin Chamorro, a crusading journalist whose widow, Violeta, became Nicaragua's president in 1990, Reuter reports from Managua. Domingo Acevedo, 70, and his son, Juan Ramon Acevedo, will be freed tomorrow after serving half of a 30-year sentence for the killing.
