Eritrea hope

Ethiopia's President Meles Zenawi said after his government recognised the independence of its former province of Eritrea that the peoples of both countries had an opportunity to put a bitter past behind them. He said he foresaw close co-operation in all areas, Reuter reports from Adiis Ababa.
