Bonn - Chancellor Helmut Kohl's cabinet, acting on a supreme court ruling that lifted military curbs on Bonn, asked parliament to give German forces more powers in Nato air and sea monitoring of former Yugoslavia. The request followed a ruling by the supreme court that cleared away constitutional doubts about whether Bonn could take part in multinational armed peace missions. Reuter
