The most popular alternative life would be that of a bird - preferably a hawk or an eagle.

The second preferred choice would be to be a woman. Of 2,867 respondents, 148 said they would particularly like to be reincarnated as housewives "and enjoy a nap in the middle of the day, and three guaranteed meals".
