Mozambique's President and the leader of the armed opposition emerged with confident smiles from a fresh round of intense talks, saying they were closer to removing key obstacles to peace, AFP reports from Maputo. President Joaquim Chissano said Afonso Dhlakama, the Renamo leader, had suggested ways of ensuring the creation of an impartial national administration, media and police force ahead of general elections.
