NEW YORK (Reuter) - The United Nations Security Council yesterday demanded that Iraq immediately permit UN inspectors to search Baghdad's Agriculture Ministry for weapons information. The council said Baghdad's attitude constituted a 'material and unacceptable breach by Iraq' of a Gulf war ceasefire resolution. But the statement did not say what the Council would do if Iraq did not comply.
The confrontation began on Sunday when a weapons inspection team led by Major Karen Jansen was refused access to the Agriculture Ministry.
