LAURENT BOUDOUANI, the European super-welterweight champion of France who faces Britain's Andy Till today, was sentenced to 100 days community service yesterday, for being drunk in public.
At the court case in Bonneville, south-east France, Boudouani apologised for events which saw him punch a policeman while resisting arrest. It is his second court appearance for such an offence and he was also fined.
Till, a 29-year-old milkman from Northolt, will make his challenge on the French 26-year- old at Picketts Lock, Edmonton. 'He doesn't like pressure,' Till said. 'Sure he stops all of his opponents, but they don't really come to fight. Against me it will be a different story.'
If Till wins, the promoter Frank Maloney will try to match him with the World Boxing Organisation champion, John David Jackson.
