China's defending title-holder and Olympic champion Fu Mingxia produced a stunning final dive to snatch the gold medal from her countrywoman Chi Bin at the World Swimming Championships in Rome yesterday. Needing to score over 62 points on her final dive in the 10 metre highboard, Fu brought gasps of admiration with an inward three-and-a-half somersault. It earned her scores of 8.5 and four 8.00s to collect a winning total of 75.48.
