Hemingway's Bad rival
The Prix de la Salamandre at Longchamp on Saturday could be decisive in deciding this season's top juvenile. Bad As I Wanna Be, trained by Brian Meehan, and Aidan O'Brien's Hemingway, next year's 2,000 Guineas favourite, are both probable runners in the race.

Bad As I Wanna Be won the Prix Morny at Deauville last month and is being rerouted to Longchamp from the Middle Park Stakes. "I'd like to run him over seven furlongs as I think that will suit him," Meehan reported yesterday.
Hemingway, a winner at Galway and York, will attempt to emulate Giant's Causeway's success in the race last year for O'Brien, who is also likely to run Darwin in Sunday's National Stakes at the Curragh.
