Herbie Hide is viewing tonight's Prizefighter tournament as a warm up for a world title chance later this year.
"I'm number two in the rankings for the WBC title and my promoters in Germany have put me back," said the 38 year-old British fighter. "But now Giacobbe Fragomeni is fighting Krzysztof Wlodarczyk for the WBC title and the winner should fight me, but that could be in another three or four months."
The two-time former world heavyweight champion has won all 13 fights since moving down to cruiserweight level and is the overwhelming favourite for tonight's event at York Hall in Bethnal Green. However, he also has the most to lose. "At this stage of my career I can't be concerned about losing," Hide admitted. "I believe I'm the best so I will just go out there and do what I have to do."
