Cycling: Rotherham does unique double

Matt Rotherham became the first rider to win both a senior and junior title in the same year when he won the men's one kilometre time trial on day two of the British National Track Championships in Manchester late on Thursday.

Rotherham clocked 1min 3.671sec, just outside the national record, to deny newly crowned national pursuit champion Steven Burke.

Former world team pursuit champion Joanna Rowsell won gold in the women's individual pursuit, with Laura Trott in second. Paralympic cyclist Sarah Storey failed to claim bronze but she broke the world record in the C5 class.
