The sporting week ahead (20/02/11)
Today
No chance of overkill in the Scottish Premier League, where it's only the fourth meeting so far this season between Celtic and Rangers. Don't worry, there are still another three Old Firm derbies to come! South of the Border in the FA Cup, one for the romantics as Arsenal go to Leyton Orient while there is a Black Country dust-up between West Brom and Wolves in the League.
Tomorrow
Whatever the wrongs and wrongs of Robert Mugabe's regime (a little bit of politics there), we're all Zimbabwe fans against Australia in cricket's World Cup. Men's tennis is on in Dubai but sulking Scot has a sore wrist – ahh, diddums.
Tuesday
Marvellous in Milan last Tuesday but expect Spurs to get battered in Blackpool. From Tangerines to orange in the cricket. Holland have already beaten England in the World Twenty20, but surely lightning can't strike twice in the 50-over format? In the Champions' League, Chelsea go to Copenhagen while Real Madrid visit Lyon.
Wednesday
More European Cup action as Manchester United travel to Marseille and Internazionale have a tasty tie at home to Bayern Munich.
Thursday
Now we drop down a level to the poor man's Champions' League – the Europa League, where Liverpool play their second leg at home to Sparta Prague, Glasgow Rangers go to Sporting Lisbon and Manchester City host Aris Salonika (that's a team of Greeks, not just the one bloke).
Friday
A "local derby" in the cricket as the Australians take on New Zealand, while the Irish will have their work cut out against Bangladesh.
Saturday
The supposed Six Nations title decider as England tackle France at Twickenham – this is probably not the ideal time for Chris Ashton to drop the ball with the tryline gaping. Elsewhere, Wales travel to Rome while, in the footy, Man U go to Wigan.
