Enough rain should have reached the West Country to ensure competitive racing at Kilworthy, near Tavistock, today. The going, good earlier in the week, will have to ease only slightly to suit Touch Of Flame in the mixed open (2.15).

The seven-year-old has taken time to reach his potential - his dam Flame O'Frensi won 22 point-to-points - but has blossomed since teaming up with Josh Guerriero. Attached to Philip Hobbs's yard, Guerriero is rated the riding find of the season by one good judge.

At the Teme Valley at Brampton Bryan, Four Opinions stands out in the confined (1.00). He took an age to win his maiden - he fell in four of five starts one season - but has improved since being fitted with a tongue strap and put up the day's best time on his return at Chaddesley Corbett.
