The Australian Rugby League announced today that its test team will tour Britain for an abbreviated three-test series.
The ARL agreed to a shortened three-week, three-test series next month after canceling a seven-match schedule because players were reluctant to travel in the wake of the United States-led military strikes on Afghanistan.
The tests will be held on 11, 17 and 24 November at Bolton's Reebok Stadium.
The Australians were originally scheduled to tour England from 20 October to 24 November, playing club sides St Helens, Leeds, Bradford and Wigan as well as the three tests.
The ARL, criticized for its decision to abandon the original tour, sought further guarantees on player safety from the British High Commission last night.
