Dame Ellen MacArthur yesterday signalled more strongly than ever a likely switch from racing to management.

The 31 year-old solo round-the-world record-holder has formed BT Team Ellen to compete on the Open 60 circuit, the class in which she came second in the 2000 Vendée Globe singlehanded round-the-world race.
