Sprint Cup attracts Dancer
Lincoln Dancer is among 18 possibles for the £150,000 Stanley Leisure Sprint Cup at Haydock following yesterday's five-day entry stage. Michael Jarvis's charge, a short-head second to Agnes World in the July Cup last time, is set to return to the scene of his sole victory this season, a four-length success in the listed Sandy Lane Rated Stakes in May.

Pipalong, another short head behind Lincoln Dancer at Newmarket and third again in the Nunthorpe Stakes at York last week, could represent trainer Tim Easterby along with Hot Tin Roof.
Godolphin, who lifted this Group One prize last year with Diktat, have left four horses in the race including Bertolini, who was runner-up to Diktat in 1999 and to Nuclear Debate in this season's Nunthorpe. He could be joined by Lend A Hand, Sampower Star and Auenklang.
Other acceptors include the Richard Hannon-trained Bold Edge, who beat Lend A Hand and Hot Tin Roof into second and fourth respectively in the Group One Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville.
