Han Xue, of China, broke her four-day old world 50 metres breaststroke record yesterday. Han, 14, clocked 30.98sec at a World Cup event in Peking, slicing 13 hundredths of a second off the mark she had set in Hong Kong on Sunday. Britain's Jaime King finished second in 32.06sec.
