Racing: Date set for Rodrigo run
THE DUAL 2,000 Guineas winner, Rodrigo De Triano, is on course to return to the track in the Group One Prix Jacques Le Marois at Deauville on 16 August.
Robert Sangster's colt was one of the principal victims of the virus which has affected Peter Chapple-Hyam's yard for the past few weeks, but he worked impressively yesterday.
'He has got a bit lazy and Peter will probably give him some work at Newbury to tune him up,' Sangster said. 'But he is still in line for France.'
This week's Glorious Goodwood meeting marks the return of many of Chapple-Hyam's horses, but Sangster warned the stable's followers that they are 'about three lengths off their best, which is to be expected.'
Sangster's Musicale, who has not raced since finishing well beaten when favourite for the 1,000 Guineas in April, has a slight abscess on her heel and has been forced to miss her intended engagement at the Sussex course.
