A weekly list of horses to follow:

CAPABLANCA: noted running on strongly under minimal persuasion in the closing stages of a maiden at Kempton on Wednesday evening. Will need a mile to show his best. (I Balding).

HOSTILE WITNESS: struggled to find a clear path on his debut at Newmarket on Friday night, before running on to finish a close third to two rivals with the benefit of racecourse experience. His trainer's juveniles can do no wrong at present, and this colt's initial success cannot be far away. (R Hannon).

MOON SPIN: easy winner of a Bath handicap under 9st 10lb on Thursday, her first success. From a yard which has shown signs of emerging from a prolonged barren spell, and this daughter of Night Shift is capable of running up a sequence and adding weight to the maxim that early autumn is the time to follow a filly in form. (W R Hern).
