PASSING PLAYER: finished a fair fourth to Stoller in 19-runner maiden at Warwick on Tuesday, after nearly six months off the track. Was good enough to be a five- length second to Turtle Island on their debuts at Newbury in the spring, with four future winners behind, and plainly retains enough ability to take a small race in the prevailing soft ground. (J Hills)
WHITE SHOOT: overcame a slow start to take a Warwick maiden on Monday at the first time of asking. This half-sister to Gimcrack Stakes winner Sharp N'Early returned a faster time than the winners of the two other six-furlong races on the same card and can go in again before the season ends.
