PAUL EDDERY yesterday received a five-day suspension after conceding he was guilty of careless riding during the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket earlier this month. His ban begins on Thursday, which means he will be back in the saddle for the start of Glorious Goodwood next Tuesday.
The disciplinary committee found that a single blow from Eddery's whip caused his mount, Celestial Key, who was already hanging left, to veer even more sharply inside the final furlong on to Set The Fashion, who in turn impeded Kassbaan and Belfry Green.
