Cross The Border made it five wins from his last seven outings - all within the space of six weeks - when taking the Pergoda Apprentice Handicap at Musselburgh yesterday. "We'll give him a rest now - he's not going to take up his engagement at Sandown tomorrow," said Nicholls' wife Alex Greaves. "But he's in at Chester on Saturday and it all depends what his owner Peter Savill wants to do."
