Racing Notebook: A weekly list of horses to follow
COLOSSUS: finished on the heels of the placed horses in the 24-runner sprint won by Heather Bank at Newmarket on Saturday. Has dropped down the handicap ratings recently and is now very capable of an imminent return to winning form. (C Brittain)
MISS PIMPERNEL: a victory has proved elusive for this two- year-old, but her three-length fourth to Lamu Lady at Catterick on Friday indicates a win in a modest maiden race awaits. She gave her rivals an advantage by starting slowly but made up a lot of ground in the last two furlongs. (B Hanbury)
SECRET TURN: tiredness caused him to tip over in the final stages of his steeplechase debut at Kempton on Saturday, but this six-year-old had until then jumping fluently, suggesting this is a promising recruit to fencing. (A Turnell)
VICTOR BRAVO: two and a half miles around Kempton proved too sharp for this five- year-old hurdler when third to Annicombe Run. Looks sure to win a handicap when running over a longer distance on a stiffer track. (N Gaselee)
