Alberto Tomba announced yesterday that he will be starring as an actor in a television action series. "I am overjoyed and curious to start a new adventure," said the 30-year-old World and Olympic champion who will be competing in his fourth Olympic Games at Nagano, Japan, in 1998. Tomba, one of the most successful and popular skiers ever, will begin shooting the series in April, after the ski season, which could be his last.
