Said Aouita, of Morocco, the world's leading distance runner of the 1980s, is making a comeback at the age of 35. The former Olympic and world champion will run for the first time since March 1992 in the 3,000m at today's Grand Prix indoor meeting in Hamilton, Canada.

Steve Moneghetti, who won the Commonwealth title in Victoria last summer, was named yesterday for the NutraSweet London Marathon on 2 April. The 32-year-old Australian was second in a sprint finish to the Kenyan, Douglas Wakiihuri, in London in 1989.
