ROBERTO DURAN defeated Carlos Montero, of the Dominican Republic, in his 101st professional fight in Marseille on Tuesday night. The 42- year-old Duran scored a unanimous points victory in their 10-round middleweight contest.
ROBERT McCRACKEN won the British light-middleweight title from Andy Till at Watford Town Hall last night, taking the verdict of Micky Vann, the referee, by a margin of four rounds. The best boxing came from McCracken in a hugely untidy spectacle in which both men bled profusely.
