STEVE REDGRAVE yesterday received a pounds 200,000 sponsorship from the financial services company, Manulife Financial. Britain's 31-year-old triple Olympic champion was considering retirement if he could not find the pounds 30,000 a year he needed to train full time, but now he can prepare with his partner, Matthew Pinsent, to defend their coxless pairs title at the 1996 Games in Atlanta.
