THE battle at the top of the Whitbread fleet continued with Lawrie Smith poised to overtake the joint leaders, Javier de la Ganadara and Chris Dickson. Maxi skipper Grant Dalton reported freezing spray as he approached Cape Horn, and Matt Humphries reassured that Dolphin & Youth is still racing hard despite leaks around broken keel bolts.
